Those last few weeks of waiting...the anticipation is so huge. Just like your belly. Just like MY belly was, four times. I can't believe my last baby is ten now. It went so fast. I have a portrait of my belly up on the wall in my bedroom. It's simple and tasteful, and it was me, for a brief time in my life. It wasn't a perfect, pretty belly, at least maybe not to anyone else, but to my husband Michael, and to me, it was amazing. It still is. When I get old, if I am that lucky, I will look back on that time (and on that portrait) as precious.
